It is my pleasure to be writing the first installment
of the Aroma Blog. On a new autumn day in Santa Fe we
are launching the Aromaland Global website.
When I arrived at Aromaland about a year ago I was overwhelmed
by the passion and compassion of the staff I met here.
From CEO Ralf Moller and President Elizabeth Bezzerides
to all production staff, I found hearts that were giving
and minds that wanted to always do the right thing.
For over 20 years these Aromaland veterans have poured
their souls into providing the very best Aromatherapy
products to customers around the globe.
I observed no greed. I observed high quality products
being sold at prices much lower than other products
of the same categories. Thus my first marketing challenge
began. How can we let our customers know the high value
of our products when the price points are so low.
Aromaland Global is being launched to do that, plus
more. With Aromaland Global we can share our collective
soul. We can express what issues we care about and hope
you care about these issues too.
A large part of our product mix is personal care products.
With the help of our brilliant chemist, Aladdin Ghanem,
we have developed a truly natural surfactant. Surfactants
are used for cleaning, degreasing, emulsifying, conditioning
and creating foam. Paramount has been the development
of the most natural shampoos, conditioners, lotions
and body washes in the marketplace today.
It is alarming that there are no rules which adequately
define “natural” and “organic” in today's world. It
is even more alarming that there is not an adequate
review or governing panel that monitors anything in
the whole cosmetics and personal care industry.
Thus we arrive at the paramount message we wish to deliver.
Are your personal care products safe in the long run?
The Environmental Working Group and The Campaign for
Safe Cosmetics have been very effective on getting out
the message, “How Safe Are Your Cosmetics?” These organizations
have effectively exposed the possibility that many chemicals
found in everyday products can disrupt hormones or even
cause cancer. This is the issue of our industry.
Many smaller companies, like Aromaland, have signed
the Compact for Safe Cosmetics where we pledge to use
only recognized safe ingredients. By going to the independent
“Skin Deep – Cosmetic Safety Database (www.cosmeticdatabase.org)
you can score your products by company, brand or individual
ingredient. Aromaland is proud to have an extremely
safe score on our Aromaland Naturals Brand.
The Breast Cancer fund is totally behind these efforts.
Their mission is to identify and advocate the elimination
of preventable causes for the disease. You can read
more about this under the Aromaland Global menu “Prevention”.
An ounce of prevention is worth the pound of cure.
We support these organizations because they are doing
the right thing. We are aligned with them by heart,
mind and soul. Our world is one of passion and compassion
where we can do a greater good that benefits all of
mankind.
Beauty - Health – Safety are words that seamlessly blend
together like an aromatic bath salt. Our goal is to
provide products that enhance natural beauty, protect
long term health by creating the safest of personal
care products.
The best of Aromaland will be participating in the Aroma
Blog. We will express the views of all our Aromaland
family. There will be many types of heartfelt stories.
Also we will keep you up to date with what is going
on in our hearts, our minds and our souls.
